I Remember When...

I remember when I stuck my hand in the VCR and broke it.
I remember when I thought that green play dough was the best flavor
I remember when I thought I could do parkour
I remember when I thought that pants were overrated
I remember when I thought putting fireworks in a camp fire was funny
I remember when I got to watch Star Trek in the Megaplex
I remember when I thought Santa and the Tooth Fairy was real
I remember when I tried to belly flop because I thought it would be cool
I remember when I ate a flower to impress a girl
I remember when I stopped a forward from scoring a goal
I remember when I wore pants that had holes in it and didn't know
I remember when I thought that my dreams were real
I remember when I took the top off a blender.....
I remember when I threw up from eating Buffalo Wild Wings
Soon High School will be something I will remember

Choices

I am torn between which road I should take

Never thought I would end up here

It was supposed to be a straight shot to my destination

But now I’m here and unfortunately my heart can’t remember the directions anymore

I try to look for a landmark or something that could help me determine which way to go

But nothing looks familiar; No one is here to help me. I'm on my own

Looks like I could have to take a leap of faith and trust my heart to make a good decision

In the past though it hasn't proven that it knows what it is doing

So for now I wait. Wait hoping, that soon I will know which road I should take

Fishing Reports

Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Yellow Perch
new(Apr 20) Scott of Provo fished Wallsburg Bay with a partner trolling Rapalas and using PowerBait and worms in 30-50 ft. of water. "We spent the first 2 hours trolling and didn't get a bite. We stayed on the lake for another 3 hour bait fishing from spot to spot trying to find the fish. Not a single bite all day."

Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Walleye
new(Apr 19) Lower: The river is closed to angling below I-15 until May 4 to protect the spawning walleye from Utah Lake. The water level is still quite low from below Deer Creek Dam down the canyon. Fishing is good using small dark fly patterns. One angler suggests using a Parachute Adams. You can use bait in some stretches of the river.

Crayfish, Cutthroat Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass
new(Apr 19) The ice is weak on the edges. On warm days, we're seeing some open water along the edges. The ice is 18 inches thick in some areas, but access to the ice is beginning to be unsafe. Please use caution because the ice could rot at any time. Anglers report fair to good fishing this week. Try using tube jigs tipped with bait. White tube jigs continue to be the most popular color.

Bluegill, Bullhead Catfish, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Smouthmouth Bass, Walleye, White Bass
FISH CONSUMPTION ADVISORY
new(Apr 19) Both channel catfish and walleye fishing is slow to fair. Anglers are reporting an occasional lunker walleye. Most walleye anglers are using twist-tail jigs tipped with a worm (casting and retrieving). The tributaries to Utah Lake are now closed until May 4. Please do not release any of the northern pike you catch. We do not want them in the lake!

My Best Friend

When I'm all alone with no one around
I talk to you because I feel safe and sound
You listen to me intently and sincere
I say everything, I have nothing to fear

I tell you the ups and the downs
Of my crazy and unpredictable life
Like the time I saw that freaky clown
Or heard a rumor that caused lots of strife

You give me comfort
When I'm feeling low
When I've been pushed in the dirt
and feel like a weirdo

I write this poem in tribute to you
When no one else knows what I'm going through
When I'm sad and my eyes are a little puffy
I know I can count on you Fluffy

Really?

Why me?

Tell me please,

I'm on my knees,

Listening to the bees,

Feeling the breeze,

Watching the trees,

Pat my back pocket........

I found my keys!!

Easter

God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung,

and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, 'I

love you.'     -Billy Graham

A Few Words. (6 to be exact)

People will judge you. Who cares.

Chocolate fills cracks in the heart.

Do what you want to do

If you can, make a difference.

Some leaves fall faster than others.

I can make it

I dream of chocolate rivers and cotton candy bushes while I am trying to get the one Ringpop to Mordor. The adventure had been going well until BEEP BEEP. Eyes crack open, check the time. It's only 7:20 school doesn't start for like 25 more minutes. 25 MINUTES!!
I roll out of bed rush to the bathroom turn on the shower start brushing my teeth. The warm water on my back makes me tired.... no must resist turn the temperature of my shower freezing. Wake up. Get dressed. Grab my backpack and homework. Take 5 pieces of bread. Rush to my car. Back out of my drive way. Forgot my calculator. Run back to my room. Realize that my cloths don't match. Change. Run back to car. Run a red light. Have to park by tennis courts. Cold breeze makes me walk faster. Almost to class. Hope that roll hasn't been taken. Walk in sit down. It's too late. Tardy. (sigh) Attendance school.

Green Grass

Winters done
Spring has come
Flowers bloom
School is over soon
Sprinklers on
Birds sing a song
Sky is blue
Love the view
Watch clouds pass
While laying on my green grass

I See You

I see you...... what do I do?

You're standing there at your locker, opening it. And while you try to remember your combo my mind starts to race and my heart stops. My body tightens up. My windpipe shuts. I'm losing oxygen. I can't think. People are just blurs as they walk past. I feel like I'm falling in a pit that has no end.

Everything starts to go dark..... I think this is the end.

But before I give into the darkness I see you look around and I see your face. All of a sudden a warm sensation goes through my body like when the sun comes out from behind the clouds. My mind becomes aware of the tiniest details of the pins that are in your hair and the color of eye shadow you are wearing. The lights of your eyes diminish all the darkness that surrounds me. You flip your hair and it's like an electrical current that brings my heart comes back to life.Your smile is like icy hot and my muscles and joints loosen and I feel like I could run for miles. You laugh and I remember how to breathe and feel like I could hold my breath for as long as I wanted to. This all happens in a matter of seconds. Before I know it you have already gotten the stuff from your locker and see me and come over to say hi. I reply and we walk down the hall talking about classes, movies and music.

Even though I to go through this everyday, it's worth it, because all that matters is I get to see you.

What If....

Sometimes being me isn't very fulfilling. I have always wondered what my life would be like if I were someone else. And I wonder What if:

I was taller.
I was stronger.
I was smarter.
I could jump higher.
I could run faster
I could hold my breath longer.
I had a Audi.
I had a Iphone.
I had a credit card.
I knew Calculus.
I knew how to talk to girls.
I knew how to do a gainer.

Would things be different?

One day I thought what if someone wished they could be me? Then I realized, it is pretty good to be me.

Being Dead

Today is the day. I never thought this day would come. I have been trying to avoid it for awhile now. Oh well, I knew it I couldn't escape it. At least I will be able to show off my new suit that my wife bought for me. I wonder how many people will be there? I don't really feel like socializing today. Maybe I will just get my wife to do all the talking for me, she was always good at that.

I wish there wasn't so many speed bumps to this place, I keep hitting my head and it's giving me a headache. My shoulders are cramping up I wish I could spread my arms out a little but I can't. I'm getting claustrophobic with all these flowers around me, besides I don't even like carnations. Man, there are a lot of people here. It's going to be a pain trying to get past them all. I'm even having trouble getting through the door. I knew I wasn't going to enjoy this. I wish people had the courtesy not to blow their nose around me, do they know how many germs they could be spreading? I would prefer to be in the back somewhere away from these people. Why is my wife talking about me? Why is she mentioning the time I left the gas pump in my car and accidentally drove away? This is embarrassing. I want to leave. Yes, we are leaving.

This place we are at has a lot of rocks and stones. It's like a meteor shower just hit here. And one of the meteors made a whole in the ground in the shape of a rectangle. Interesting. I wonder whats down there. A few people help me down there with some rope. There's nothing down here. Why are they throwing dirt on me? I just got this suit. Ok now it's dark and quiet. I hope someone is coming to get me. But for now it's just me.

One really is the loneliness number.

Fear

Fear: An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

I have I ever felt this before? No. That's what I would tell you but I would be lying. I have fears like anyone else. The usual like what if I died today or saying something stupid to your crush or finding a spider in your room then when you leave to get toilet paper and come back you can't find it anymore. I also fear that I will fail, won't amount to anything and be a disappointment. How I wake up and face all these fears is a miracle to me. I'm surprised I don't have mental breakdowns and emotional problems (or do I).

Even Superman has a fears.

No one is indestructible.

So what's the trick to overcoming your fears? I wish you could tell you, more importantly I wish someone would tell me because that would make my life much easier. But for now I will just have to avoid walking under icicles, don't ride roller coasters and probably stop watching Happy Tree Friends.

So my advice about facing your fears is.......Good Luck.

Thinking

Think. Thinking. Thought. Thoughts. Everyone does it; maybe it's about school, family or work. But I'm thinking about you.

I'm thinking about you like
plants think about spring,
like chocolate thinks of chips,
like stars think about shining,
not like paper thinks of scissors,
like Black Widow thinks of Hawkeye,
like snow thinks of falling,
like microwaves thinks of warming up,
not like snails think of salt,
like pillows think of cases,
like printers think of ink,
like toilets think of flushing,
not like vampires think of sun,
like gorillas think of termites,
like Marlin thinks of Nemo,
like a seed thinks of growing,
not like Gollum thinks about the Ring,
like nerds think of Minecraft,
like Greek yogurt thinks of sugar,
like Rod thinks of Denise.

Everyone thinks, but I'm the only one thinking of you.

If I Was A Boat

If I was a boat,
what would I do?
Try to say afloat,
or go where the wind blew?

Be adventurous and free,
or docked and safe?
To be a little gutsy,
or have little faith?

Unfurl my white sail,
or fear to be open?
Worried I would fail,
or confident and hopin'?

Brave the rough seas,
or instead back down?
Use every breeze,
or stay on dry ground?

If I was a boat,
what would I do?

I would go to Peru.

LOVE

                                  Open
                                  Vibrant

Treasure Planet

I was watching Treasure Planet with my siblings and like the song choice in this scene.

I'm Still Here - Goo Goo Dolls

I am a question to the world
Not an answer to be heard
Or a moment
That's held in your arms

And what do you think you'd ever say?
I won't listen anyway
You don't know me
And I'll never be what you want me to be

And what do you think you'd understand?
I'm a boy, no, I'm a man
You can't take me
And throw me away

And how can you learn what's never shown?
Yeah, you stand here on your own
They don't know me
Cause I'm not here

Chorus:
And I want a moment to be real
Wanna touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on and feel I belong
And how can the world want me to change?
They're the ones that stay the same
They don't know me
Cause I'm not here

And you see the things they never see
All you wanted I could be
Now you know me
And I'm not afraid

And I want to tell you who I am
Can you help me be a man?
They can't break me
As long as I know who I am

Chorus

They can't tell me who to be
Cause I'm not what they see
Yeah, the world is still sleepin while I keep on dreaming for me
And their words are just whispers and lies thatI'll never believe

Chorus

I'm the one now
Cause I'm still here
I'm the one
Cause I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here

Alive

Have you ever wondered if you were alive? If you weren't just some robot that went through the routine of going to school, work, etc. Who could only communicate through birds 'tweeting' or posting for everyone to see. I know I have wondered.

I have felt like Dominick Cobb from Inception who is constantly struggling to figure out what is real and what isn't. On my TV I have saved the world many times from war and apocalypses, I have battled for the fate of the galaxy and have saved countless lives. But am I really changing peoples lives? Am I really making a difference? This is what I ask myself and that's what wakes me up.

There are different ways that I feel alive: music, dancing, fishing, sports. The moment when I score a goal, hear my favorite song at a dance or catch a huge rainbow trout is all worth living for. Life has many opportunities, some that only appear once. Everyone should make the most of life and not waste it on something that beeps or clicks. Then, and only then, will you be alive.

Hello

Hello world!! My pen name is Johnny Lingo. I am just your average person who likes to think, imagine and dream. I am also full of hope that my dreams will come true. I hope that one day I will be married, learn to play guitar or that my parents will take me to Cafe Rio sometime soon. I believe that dreaming and hoping are essential to life; MLK and Walt Disney put it like this:

"Everything that is done in the world is done by hope."  - MLK

"All dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney

So I hope that you enjoy my blog and that you never stop hoping or dreaming.
